Steinbach Job Fair Draws Strong Turnout, Connects Employers with Local Talent

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Steinbach, MB, April 24, 2026 — The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce is pleased to share the success of its recent Job Fair, held at the Pat Porter Active Living Centre on April 21. The event welcomed over 200 job seekers, including many newcomers to the community, and featured 37 local businesses representing a wide range of industries and career opportunities.

The atmosphere throughout the event was energetic and productive, with many attendees engaging directly with employers and completing job applications on the spot. Businesses reported strong interest from candidates and meaningful conversations that could lead to future hires. One employer noted they connected with two promising leads for specialized skilled labour positions.

The diversity of both employers and job seekers contributed to a dynamic environment where connections were made across sectors, highlighting the strength of Steinbach’s workforce and business community.

“We brought together businesses and job seekers in a way that created real opportunities,” said Tessa Masi, Executive Director of the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce. “Seeing employers meet eager candidates, including many newcomers looking to build their future here, speaks to the importance of creating spaces where meaningful connections can happen. The feedback from businesses has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are proud to support the growth of our local workforce.”

The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce extends its thanks to all participating businesses and attendees for participating and making this event a success. A special thank-you to the sponsors who contributed to making this event possible: AM 1250 Radio, Country 107.7, SteinbachOnline, and MIX 96.7.
