Accessibility Customer Service Training

FREE for Chamber Members!

The Accessibility Act of Manitoba requires all businesses and organizations with one or more employee(s) to implement and abide by the Customer Service Standard. This Standard has several requirements for businesses to implement to be compliant. Details on these compliance requirements can be found online at: http://www.accessibilitymb.ca/customer-service-standard.html

The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a free solution to one of these compliance requirements. Every business is required to “train staff on accessible customer service, including reasonable accommodations under The Human Rights Code (Manitoba)”. Members of the Steinbach Chamber will be able to access an online portal which will provide training which meets this requirement. Individual employees will be able to complete the training and print out a completion certificate.

Again, this training is required for employees and volunteers in all organizations. While every organization could develop their own training curriculum, this exclusive Chamber Member program is available to your business to use for free as a value-added service.

If you are interested in receiving the Accessibility training through this program, please contact the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce at info@steinbachchamber.com to receive your access link.
