Communications Coordinator Job Posting

This is a contract position for 15 hours/week.

 

OBJECTIVES

  • To coordinate effective communications from the Chamber to its members regarding member benefits, events, advocacy and policy work.
  • To assist the Executive Director in creating a consistent marketing message to both Chamber members and the general public about how the Chamber connects business and community.

 

DUTIES

  • Writing and formatting of weekly e-newsletters and new business announcements
  • Research and content recommendations for e-newsletters
  • Coordination of mass email communications sent to Chamber members
  • Some minor design work as needed (i.e. posters, handouts, e-invites, social media graphics, etc.)
  • Event registration page creation via ChamberMaster program
  • Coordination of advertising campaigns as directed by Executive Director
  • Website updates and maintenance
  • Social media monitoring and management (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Compilation of monthly communication metrics
  • Consultation on other communications or promotional pieces as needed
  • Assists with some event set-up/take-down (i.e. parade, Taste of Steinbach)
