Steinbach Chamber Challenge
The Steinbach Chamber Challenge is a unique opportunity for young entrepreneurs across Southeast Manitoba to turn their ideas into action. Modelled after the popular Dragon’s Den format, the competition invites middle and high school students under 18 to pitch a business idea, product, or service to a panel of local business leaders. Finalists take the stage for a live five-minute presentation, followed by questions from the judges, giving students a chance to showcase their creativity, problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial thinking.
More than just a competition, the Chamber Challenge is about encouraging the next generation of entrepreneurs and connecting them with the local business community. Each year, students demonstrate an impressive range of ideas, ambition and initiative, while local business leaders have the opportunity to encourage and mentor young people who may become Southeast Manitoba’s future business owners. With cash prizes for the top three finalists and a room full of community members cheering them on, the event celebrates what young people can accomplish when they are given the opportunity to take an idea and run with it.
