7th Annual Steinbach Burger Days, sponsored by SteinbachOnline!

This year, 17 restaurants are participating in Steinbach Burger Days for one of three coveted awards: Best Tasting Burger, Most Creative Burger and Best Presentation! 2024 Participating Restaurants

A&W Restaurant – Maple Sriracha Chicken Cruncher

This crunchy mouth watering chicken burger begins with a toasted brioche-style bun, mayonnaise on top and bottom,  sandwiching a 5oz Crunchy chicken portion topped with a maple sriracha sauce and a coleslaw mix. The perfect sweet, sour, spice of maple flavour and the big crunch of chicken. A must try!


Blatz B-Stro – Menno Medoschlope Burger

Featuring grilled beef patty, mozza cheese, farmer sausage chunks, deep fried cottage cheese vereneki (perogy), schmaunt fat (cream gravy), and grilled onions all on a grilled brioche bun, garnished with another deep fried cottage cheese vereneki and a dollop of schmaunt fat.


Boston Pizza – The Dragon

Named in honour of Boston Pizza’s legendary, Manitoba-born leader, Jim Treliving, The Dragon is a mouth-watering mash-up of BP’s 2 most famous appetizers – Bandera Bread & Cactus Cuts! Grilled 100% Canadian beef, topped with onions roasted in BP’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Ale, spicy Cactus Cut potatoes, fresh arugula and tomato, drizzled with Sante Fe Ranch dressing, served between a bandera-styled brioche bun, crowned with baked mozzarella, and spiked with a Cactus Cut!

 


Burrito Hut – El Jefe

A fluffy cloud of joy hugging a sizzling hot mess of beefy goodness! It’s like a tasty surprise party in your mouth, where the buns are the bouncers and the patty is the rockstar. With toppings that mingle like party animals and sauces that salsa like nobody’s watching, this burger is the ultimate flavor fiesta! Get ready to dance the burger boogie with every bite!


Chica’s Chicken – Triple C Sando (Chicken Caesar Crunch)

Hand breaded chicken, deep fried to the perfect crunch. Topped with our homemade garlic parmesan sauce and crisp iceberg lettuce. Sandwiched into a fresh croissant.


Chicken Chef – Honey Sriracha Lime Burger

Our signature beef patty glazed in a homemade honey sriracha lime sauce topped with 2 strips of bacon, cheddar cheese, and just the right amount of sweet citrus balanced with a touch of heat. Served on a grilled ciabatta bun crisped in a garlic herb aioli, then piled high with sweet pickled vegetables (option to substitute chicken for beef patty).

 


Chino’s Bistro – The Bocephus

Chino’s started with a Lab named Chino… we now have Tikka and Bocephus and boy oh boy, does our Bocephus love his pizza and burgers and food in general! Beef? Yes, gimme some beef! So here it is – dough made fresh daily, stretched by hand, sesame seed crusted then topped with our secret Burgzza Sauce, local ground beef, cheese blend, onions, pickles, tomatoes and bacon (of course!). Cooked at over 600 degrees with Manitoba Oak for the best wood fired touch. Topped with lettuce, mustard drizzle and Hickory sticks. Savour the crust, the toppings, the taste of saucy deliciousness! Chinos designed it and Bocephus approved it!! If you’re willing, it’s even shareable!

 


Doener Grill Express – Augusta Burger

Savour the Augusta Burger, a standout creation for Steinbach Burger Days! Juicy, seasoned smash patties are stacked high with crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and irresistible crispy onion tanglers. The flavour pops with our legendary burger sauce and tangy pickled red onions, but the star is the rich, creamy pimento cheese spread – a nod to the Masters golf tournament in culinary tradition. Finished with crispy fries and a zesty red pepper popper, this burger is a crave-worthy explosion of Southern-inspired goodness!


Frantz Inn – Jamaican Crispy Chicken Burger

Jamaican crispy chicken on a waffle bun, topped with a spinach artichoke jalapeno popper. Served with kale chips or homemade potato chips.

 


George’s Burgers & Subs – Chipotle Swiss Crunch

Experience a burst of flavors with our Chipotle Swiss Crunch burger. Indulge in crispy fried chicken glazed in honey garlic sauce, topped with smooth Swiss-mozzarella cheese with crispy pepper bacon and drizzled with zesty chipotle ranch sauce. All of this deliciousness is nestled in a fresh homemade bun and complemented by a refreshing coleslaw mixed with cilantro lime sauce. This burger is a perfect balance of smoky, tangy, and creamy flavors, crafted to satisfy every craving.


Hespeler’s Cookhouse & Tavern – Greek Lamb Burger

On a brioche bun, we have olive tapenade, 8oz lamb burger topped with feta cheese, tzatziki sauce with diced tomatoes, red onions and green peppers. Enjoy with a side of coleslaw and your choice of fries, soup or garden salad.

 


Main Bread and Butter – Main Street Deli Classic

The Main Street Deli Classic starts with traditionally prepared thin slice pastrami with melted local cheddar cheese. Our house made coleslaw and zippy mayo add some crunch and tang to top it all off.

 


MJ’s Kafe – Thank You… Thank You Very Much Burger

This burger is inspired by Elvis, the King of rock ‘n’ roll, and his lavish culinary cravings. Like his favourite sandwich, banana, peanut butter, and bacon are flavours you’ll pick up when you take a bite of this burger. When your knee starts to quiver, quickly find a seat because you end up “All shook up.”


Niakwa Pizza – Burger Pizza 

Our Niakwa team has something special for you to try! We know it’s not a real burger but it’s our version of a pizza burger! P.S. You don’t want to miss the secret sauce…


Santa Lucia Pizza – The SLP Gunslinger

Our house made 1/4 lb beef patty with new hickory smoked bbq sauce and a garlic aioli. Topped with candied bbq bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion rings, and crispy jalapenos. This all between a double side smoked Gouda cheese grilled pretzel bun.

 

 


Sawney Beans – El Chorizo

This year we have a homemade chorizo style pork patty, with a roasted garlic and dill pickle aioli, monterey jack cheese, topped with fresh pico de gallo and green onion on a toasted buttered bun. We hope you enjoy it!

 


Smitty’s Family Restaurant – Jalapeno BBQ Smashburger

Two smashed Angus chuck patties, smothered in a spicy BBQ sauce, layered with melted American cheese, topped with caramelized onions, in-house made pickled jalapenos, shredded lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. Served on a toasted bun with your choice of side.


The Public Brewhouse and Gallery

During Steinbach Burger Days, the burgers are the heroes, but every salty, saucy hero needs a sidekick. Introducing The Public’s Citra Sidekick Ale!

The Citra Sidekick is a session ale at 4.5% ABV and is loaded with refreshment. It is a well-balanced beer that is not too hoppy or too malty, and the citra hops give you an exceptionally crisp citrus aroma and flavour while coming in at only 21 IBU.  Pair the Citra Sidekick Ale with every burger during Steinbach Burger Days. All burgers and all ages are welcome in The Public taproom at 301 Main Street in Steinbach, open Wednesday – Saturday at 4pm.
