8th Annual Steinbach Burger Days a Huge Success

From October 2–11, 2025, local restaurants are served up one-of-a-kind burgers.
People tasted their way through Steinbach and Blumenort as chefs put their best creations forward. With over 1350 votes, people casted their votes in three categories. We are excited to announce the winners of each categroy and the grand reserve winners.

Southeast Bacon Burger
All of our local favourites come together in this Bacon Lover's Burger - a made-to-order, daily sourdough bun from Old Church Bakery, paired with our housemade all-beef patty and classic Smitty's Burger Sauce, which you know and love. All topped with Bacon Jam made with Prairie Oil & Vinegar's Apple Cider and Bacon Ends from Earl's Meat Market, as well as classic strip bacon, New Bothwell's Jalapeño Monterey Jack Cheese, fresh produce from Prairie Wild in Kleefeld, and finished with Redpoll Farms Hamburger Pickles. We love this community and can't wait to raise a burger to toast it with you during Burger Days!

Mama Mia Burger
Meet the Mama Mia - where rustic Italian flavours take root in garden-fresh charm. Our 1/3 lb grass-fed beef patty from local Benner Farms is layered with crispy prosciutto, housemade balsamic onion jam, antipasto-style marinated crimini mushrooms, and a pesto aioli blooming with herbaceous notes. Finished with crisp arugula, vine-ripened tomato, and melty mozzarella, all nestled in our beloved, house-baked focaccia - warm, soft & fragrant. It's a taste of Italy, all made in-house, with local ingredients and served with the greenhouse freshness Oakridge is known for.

This is a Jamaican-inspired burger created by DRG Restaurant, crafted with authentic Caribbean spices and the juicy, tender cuts of local Manitoba high-quality beef. Showstopper 2.0
Dive into "Showstopper 2.0." An iconic burger brought back to life with refinement. Two ground chuck angus beef patties smashed and layered with melted cheese, crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, and tangy pickled red onion. All slathered with our signature maple bacon aioli and housemade burger sauce, topped with a red pepper popper, all hugged by a toasted golden bun. Served with a side of crispy fries.

The Greek Freak
Our Greek Freak Burger is a combination of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences.
This flavourful Burger consists of a burger patty seasoned with Middle Eastern herbs and spices and a chicken thigh marinated in a Mediterranean style.
This Burger is finished with vanilla Tzatziki sauce with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a slice of cheddar cheese.

Our entry is a collection of BIG Chinos! It's a series of all things Bacon Cheeseburger-inspired. We don't do burgers, but we love them, so here is the BIG Chino Collection!
A pizza, a Power bowl, a dip and an amazing Calzonewich!!! Help us decide which one to feature, and I'll send info, or simply use this pic and get your taste buds ready to dine with friends and try the whole collection!!! Local beef, with our Canadian' Cowcaine'Spice, cheese, pickles, bacon, lettuce, hickory sticks, tomatoes, onions, and did we say bacon! And topped off with our signature Burgza sauce!!!
