2024 was a remarkable year for the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce. I’m incredibly proud of the milestones we achieved together and the energy we saw throughout our events and initiatives.
This year, we hosted four Chamber Mixers, each breaking attendance records and underscoring the importance of meaningful connections within our business community. Our Leadership Breakfasts and Lunch and Learns provided valuable learning and networking opportunities, while beloved traditions like the Pioneer Days Parade (navigating construction challenges and a brand-new route), Burger Days, and the Business Excellence Awards continued to bring the community together and celebrate our vibrant local businesses.
A major highlight this year was the Taste of Steinbach Long Table Event, held at the Steinbach Airport. With over 500 attendees, this event showcased the power of community, collaboration, and a shared love of local flavors. We also launched an exciting new initiative, the Chamber Challenge, which gave young entrepreneurs a platform to pitch their innovative business ideas for a chance to win prize money. It was inspiring to see the creativity and determination of the next generation of business leaders.
We also reached a significant milestone this year, surpassing 500 members in the Chamber—a testament to the strength and growth of our business community.
Looking ahead to 2025, we remain focused on engaging with our members and ensuring their voices are heard. To achieve this, we’ve established a new Advocacy Committee dedicated to understanding and addressing the needs of the business community. A thriving economy benefits us all, and we are committed to being a trusted advocate for businesses in Steinbach and the surrounding area.
Next year, we will streamline and enhance our event lineup to create even more opportunities for connection and growth. We’re already planning our first Mixer of the year for February and aim to expand the Taste of Steinbach event in May to welcome 600 guests!
We are also passionate about encouraging entrepreneurship among students and young professionals, showing them that Steinbach and surrounding areas are the place where they can thrive, build careers, and innovate.
On behalf of the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce, thank you to our members, sponsors, and community partners for an exceptional year. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected, and more resilient business community. Here’s to an exciting year ahead!
Warm regards,
Tracy Gromniski
President, Steinbach Chamber of Commerce
